Sunbreak on Mountain



Glacier Bay, Alaska
July, 2007

The moutain in the picture is jagged because it was above the glaciers when Glacier Bay was covered during the Little Ice Age. The part of a mountain that sticks above the glacier, forming an island in the ice, is called a nunatak.
