There is no story

I first saw this tombstone as you see it here, left to right. At first I was bemused at the triteness of the first two sides. Then I saw that Joseph Kiser had been born in Switzerland and died in Woodinville, and I thought, what stories he must have.

Then I saw the fourth, blank, side, and thought, I guess it is the case that you can cross continents and oceans and have no story.

No. Everybody has a lot more story than can fit on any tombstone. Might as well leave it blank, though, if the story hasn't been told during life.
