Glad you like it. It sucked me in for at least an hour this afternoon. Maybe I have to try again...

I'm dead.

Yay! It totally didn't suck me in! Not like that planarity thing which stole many many hours of my *ahem* valuable time.

[identity profile] holyoutlaw.livejournal.com 2005-12-30 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
You just didn't try.

What planarity thing?

Weren't you the person that led me down the primrose path of planarity? I could have sworn it was you, oh purveyor of all things time-wasting.

In any case, this is it: http://www.planarity.net/

It sucked me in for hours and hours and hours...

I just KNOW I am going to regret this...

It's seriously challenging.

Just click it. You know you want to...

WAAAAH!

(I... bookmarked it. I actually... bookmarked it. I am so screwed.)

[identity profile] holyoutlaw.livejournal.com 2005-12-31 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
For me, it's too challenging to really absorb me. I can get through levels 1-4 easily. About half the time, I solve level five. I don't know if it's because I get confused, my brain is overworked from the earlier levels, or what. I have yet to solve level 6.

[identity profile] holyoutlaw.livejournal.com 2005-12-31 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
So what's the highest level you reached?

Bwaaaa haaaa haaaa. My eeevil plan is working... Wait a minute, I have an evil plan? Hm, news to me. But seriously, it's addictive, isn't it?

Wow. I get up to level 18 or 19 before I run into any trouble, and then it's usually because the little nodes are too large for the space--there just isn't room in the field to arrange things properly.

Oops, answered this in a different response. I think I've gotten to 18 or 19. The difficulty is that in addition to the space issues I mentioned above, when you get into the teens it takes about a half hour per level, so unless I'm using the same computer I can't just pick up where I left off and instead have to go all the way through the levels again and that takes forever. I guess if I were consistent as to my computer and browser I could probably get to a higher level.

There's a small, right facing arrow in the left hand corner of the large window that allows you to skip to a particular level.

I think he just added that. Of course, if you skip levels, your score isn't as high, but for me, it's the thrill of completion that matters more than a high score. With TextTwist, however, I live for the high score--mine is just over 3 million so far, but only because I had to reboot the computer. I might just have to give in and buy the full version, if it allows you to save a game in progress.
