I don't know if I mentioned this in my LJ, but the first time I visited the Frye, when I visited the most apartments and was least careful about rinsing my hands, I was sick for a couple days afterward. Not feverish sick, but asthmatic enough that I cancelled my next appointment there. (My first visit was on a Monday and I'd have gone back that Wednesday.)
Since then, I've gone to fewer apartments at any one visit, more of the photography has happened in the public spaces of the building, and I'm much much more careful about rinsing my hands before I leave an apartment, especially if I've touched the pet or offered my hand for a sniff.
