For those following along at home, we're all up for the idea of counseling in various configurations. Julie and I have been talking about it for a week or so, and I was supposed to call someone Monday but didn't get around to it. This will be more in the line of mediated conversations than "my father was a shit to me when I was five" talk therapy. Not to disparage such.
It makes me think of a passage I read a few days ago in The Daybooks of Edward Weston, where he takes portraits of a mother, daughter, and their dogs: "The mother and dogs, the daughter and dogs, the mother alone, the daughter alone, the dogs alone, until they were all one barking, squirming, smirking mass." Okay, that's funny but perhaps not too flattering to the situation.
Yesterday was a Real Change assignment, some grocery shopping, then dinner for Jack, Anita, and an accountant. Jane was helpful in chatting with Jack and Anita before the accountant arrived and setting the table for the four of us. Also yesterday were long talks and snuggles with Julie. Mmmmmm, snuggles. Yeah!
Today is more open. Julie and I might take a bus downtown to look at the Christmas sights (and learn the bus system a little better), I should get back on the horse about the photo archiving project. I had another Real Change assignment pending, but the subject is out of town until the 14th or 15th. At some point I'll process the pictures I took yesterday.
Nothing much else to say right now, but I'm sure I'll think of something as soon as I click "post entry." Hah!
