I just got off the phone with a woman from NARAL Washington. They're having an auction in November and want a photographer to cover it. It's volunteer, but I'm still copacetic with that.
I think that fills me up: There's the PCNW class, things as they happen for Real Change, the Doney Pet Clinic and the Frye Apartments, and now this. Yeah!
Yesterday I had a brief pre-class meeting with the teacher about preparing photos for the member's show. She was busy getting ready for class, too, but the advice she gave was cogent and thoughtful. I noticed particularly she wasn't DIScouraging, always a plus. But she knew the juror, at least through reputation, and recommended which photos to include and which to exclude based on that. The current roster is four of the scary doll heads, a beetle, and two hemipterans.
