Merriman Falls pano

The amount of foreground throws off the perspective, I think. It makes the falls look small and close. Actually, it was 40 feet high and much further away.

We were still lackluster from my earlier vertigo and the weather being so unexpectedly warm and sunny. Discovering this falls was a complete joy, and we stayed there for at least half an hour, clambering around the bottom, and just enjoying the mist. There was a steady, strong, cold breeze that felt to me like it came straight off the snowmelt with the water.

And now I discover this site. Yeah!
