Susie Young and Valerie Anderson Webb joined fellow in-home health care workers demonstrating against cuts in health benefits and hours outside the Seattle office of the state's Department of Social and Human Services (DSHS) on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Organized by SEIU Local 775NW, the workers have already seen budget cutbacks harm their patients, and their own health insurance is in jeopardy. State government is facing a nearly unprecedented $2.6 billion budget gap in 2010.
