This is a really sensitive series of portraits. If I were choosing one to use as the author's bookjacket picture, I'd go for the seond one.

(I started to typo that "bookjack." Would a bookjack be the tool used to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative, or the minor character who runs away with a story against its author's intentions? You decide.)

I met him at a party a couple weeks ago, and thought he had an interesting face. So, I tracked him down and asked to take his picture. It was fun.
