If Wiscon is our primary face-to-face contact, I'm likely to remember you by LJ or Dreamwidth name, even if we've talked at great length.
I'm married to Julie McGuff. We'll be together or apart semi-randomly. But we'll be co-hosting things Friday and Sunday night, and hope you stop by, despite the surfeit of cool parties to go to. Also, we'll be checking into the hotel Thursday, and ready to be social by Thursday evening. I might go to the Room of One's Own. We'll be at the hotel through Tuesday morning. (Before and after the convention we'll be spending time with Julie's family.)
I'll be handing out stickers and behind the bar Friday, behind the camera Sunday, andbehind the eight ball hiding some of the rest of the time. Wiscon is late in the quarter, and I might have to do homework during some of the convention. (My main class this quarter is "People Place and Plants," about how coastal first peoples maintained and intensified food production of the Pacific Northwest.)
I don't hear well in noisy rooms, so I might turn my right ear to point it at you, but I'm still listening. I try to maintain eye contact, but I bet it looks weird. The hearing loss means I know almost nothing about current music.
I like small group dinners. I'm pretty omnivorous, but Greek food is kind of out for being too salty. Also, a lot of times, I have to EAT RIGHT NOW which means I run out to Noodles.
My first convention was Windycon 3, which means I've been in and out of fandom for 35 years. You'd think I'd have this down pat, eh? Hah!
I'm 5'8", have mostly grey hair, and I think an old man somehow gets between me and the mirror. I tend to wear long-sleeved tie-dyed t-shirts. If I'm not, it's likely to be either a Tiptree Award or Potlatch t-shirt, or a "business casual" shirt.
I used to do a lot of wild shit about ten years ago, but I'm pretty tame these days.

All these posts people are doing are making me think of things I should've added to mine! Maybe I will do an addendum.
