Yesterday I finally finished the great disc reorganization and sorting and categorizing and whatnot. Yay! I felt all excited about it, and was making notes about new directory structures and workflow and reorganizing the scrapbook and all of that.

We went off to the 25th anniversary vanguard, which was pretty nice. Some people who haven't been in a while were there, and some people who'd never been were there also. Jane brought three albums of old photos, which everyone went through repeatedly. Pups! Everyone looked like little pups way back then! And cute as buttons, too. Except the women who struck me as surprisingly hot in their youth. Hah! I feel shallow for admitting that.

We left a little early, and I came upstairs to work on the Frye photos, and to use the new tools and techniques I'd been looking forward to.

Well, that ground it all to a halt and was pretty frustrating. I think the basic ideas I had are good, but I don't think I'll be able to use them with Photoshop Elements, it takes way too long and is pretty frustrating. Hah!

Oh well. Back to it, I guess.

Well, that is shallow of you. Of course we were hot in our youth! What did you expect?

When Jane would sometimes talk about how polyamorous and/or ahem active everyone was in the 80s, I usually shuddered. Maybe the stevestuff had something to do with it, I dunno. But looking at those pictures last night (particularly the red and black party), I was like, oh, now I get it. That's what felt shallow to me.

But if I HAD been around Seattle fandom in the 80s, I'd have been too stoned, shy, clueless, and/or intimidated to do anything anyway. Hah!
