Those round things are what we used to call 'silver dollar plants' when I was a kid. Haven't seen any for about 40 years since they don't seem to grow around here.

I think we called them rupee plants in Chicago, but I don't remember clearly.

also called money plant or honesty (or many other common names, that's why scientific names are a good thing). Lunaria is the genus name. It's a biennial, introduced from Germany to England, then to the US long ago.
