Beautiful shots! It's tough to get hummingbirds in focus becuase they move so fast; well done for that too! I would guess these are Rufous Hummingbirds, or maybe Anna's Hummingbirds. Cool!
This is three out of at least fifty, if not many more. But it was lots of fun, I just stood there in this little garden and followed them around with the camera.
Rufous and Anna's are my guesses, it could be one of each. Thanks for the help identifying!
Gorgeous. I especially like the third with all the purple flowers.
Where we live now, there are lots of hummingbirds. There are big bottle brush plants (more like trees) planted around the parking area, and the plants are filled with hummingbirds.
The purple flowers are the Mexican Sage bush, that they loved so much. I wonder if it grows up here?
This was the first time I've ever seen hummingbirds live. I didn't know what they sounded like, either, and kept wondering what that angry chittering sound was.
